Sanskrit Shlok Recitation Competition: Rules and Regulations
Eligibility:
The competition is open to students from 5th to 10th grade.
Participants will be grouped into two categories:
Group A: 5th to 7th Grade
Group B: 8th to 10th Grade
Participants should be a registered student of a registered school.
Students or Parents should have an active INSTAGRAM account so that students can post the reel from their own accounts else parents can also post the reel on behalf of their child.
How To Participate:
It's a simple four-step flow in each round
(There will be 2 rounds only - refer to Participation Flow & Conditions)
Step 1 - Select your favourite and/or practised Sanskrit shlok/stotra (श्लोक/स्तोत्र) as instructed below in the Participation flow and conditions.
Step 2 - Recite that & create a reel of about 50 sec and post it on your or your parent's Instagram account with our tags and mentions.
Step 3 - Submit the link of your Instagram post, by clicking the Submit Your Entry button on this page, then fill out the form, pay the fees and submit the form.
Step 4 - Winner will be decided by the final score based on the equal weightage of the ROUND 1 and ROUND 2.

Participation Flow & Conditions:
There will be two online rounds. Participants need to go through 2 Rounds to win the exciting prizes
Round 1: Online - Posting the first reel on Instagram, where participants must select one shlok/stotra (श्लोक/स्तोत्र) of their choice, recite it, shoot it and post it.
First Round Deadline Date: 08/12/2024
Round 2: Online - Posting the second reel on Instagram, where participants must select another shlok (different from the first round), recite it, shoot it and post it.
Second Round Deadline Date: 08/01/2025
Create the Reel: The reel must be less than 50-60 seconds.
Ensure the VIDEO is clear and has good audio and visual quality.
The logo of our lead sponsor must be clearly visible in the background throughout the video. This logo should be printed, displayed, or included in editing the reel but should be prominently visible to ensure it's easily recognizable. To download the logo of our lead sponsors, CLICK HERE.
Post on Instagram:
Participants must post their travel vlog video on their own Instagram account or their parent’s Instagram account.
Collaborate with @vyasresidentialprogram and @vyas_edification.
Use hashtags #vrpkota, #vyasedification, and #tito in the caption.
Ensure the sponsor's logo is visible in the reel.
Language: Reels of shlok reciting must be created in SANSKRIT only.
The final Winning Score will be based on equal weightage of Round 1 and Round 2. For details read the Evaluation Criteria below.
Important Dates:
Round 1 - Online Entry Submission Deadline: 08 December 2024
Round 2 - Online Entry Submission Deadline: 08 January 2025
Announcement of Final Winner: 29 January 2025
Evaluation Criteria:
Entries of both, the online round and the final round will be judged on the basis of the following:-
Pronunciation and Articulation
Rhythm and Meter
Understanding and Expression
Overall Performance
Social media engagement marks (Msme) for Instagram will depend on comments (C), likes (L) and shares (S).
Msme = ( C + L/50 + S/5 )
Participation Fee:
A nominal fee of INR 20 is required per entry.
The payment will be processed in continuation with the entry submission form Form.
Please ensure that you have posted the REEL on Instagram as per the contest format before filling out the entry submission form.
Prizes and Recognition:
Prizes will be awarded separately for each group (Group A and Group B).
Gold Medal: INR 11,000 cash prize + Trophy + Certificate of Achievement.
Silver Medal: INR 5,100 cash prize + Medal + Certificate of Achievement.
Bronze Medal: INR 2,100 cash prize + Medal + Certificate of Achievement.
Outstanding reels will be shared from our official handle and featured on our website and social media platforms.
All participants will receive an e-certificate of participation.
Winners will be announced at the end of the competition, and special prizes will be awarded for the best tweets.
Submission Guidelines:
Post the reel on Instagram with the required collaborations and hashtags.
Ensure the sponsor’s logo is displayed.
Submit the Instagram post link and video file via the Submit Your Entry button provided on this page.
Include your name, grade, and school details in the form.
General Guidelines:
Offensive or inappropriate content will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules and regulations if necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes.
Dos:
The reel must be created by the participant themselves. The use of pre-recorded audio or any form of digital enhancement is allowed, but the content should be original.
Follow all submission guidelines and include required collaborations and hashtags.
Display the sponsor’s logo clearly.
Don’ts:
Do not use offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate content.
Avoid any content that compromises safety or security.
Do not include any content that violates ethical standards or human dignity.
If a participant submits multiple entries, then only the best entry will be considered from all the submitted entries.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time.
By participating in the competition, participants agree to these rules and regulations and the terms and conditions.
Mere participating in this event doesn't give you any right to claim anything from organizers or sponsors.

The Sanskrit Shlok Recitation Competition!
